We're Getting Tebow!!!

OFF TOPIC

It can be really hard being a Jets fan. I hope Sanchez is not pushed aside though. I don't think the Jets' record is his fault alone.

The question is, can Cavanaugh bring Tebow along where he should be?

I'm not sure, if I were a Jets fan, if that would be a good thing or not. I like the kid, don't get me wrong, but through little fault of his own he brings a lot of distractions along with him. That might play much better in New York than it would in other places, but in general, distractions are not usually a good thing, IMO.

I predict the Jets will use him about 10 snaps per game.

Since most teams will be concerned about him running the ball when he's in...

I'd put him in and let him throw deep at least 3-4 times a game.

That sounds like a good strategy, TL. Of course, they couldn't let that become a predictable pattern or they'd lose the "surprise" element.

  All they have to do is mix up the run and pass and it can be a viable strategy in every game - when Tebow is in the game.
  
  This is the primary basis of the cat and mouse games between the offense and defensive coordinators in each game.
  
  Will they run or will they pass on this upcoming play?
  
  A good rushing attack puts so much pressure on a defense because if they can't stop the run with their front seven defenders, they must commit the strong safety to help stop the run or continue to get gashed.
  
  ... and if they do, that opens up the passing game.
  
  Tebow can even try to read the defense before the snap and then audible to determine whether the play will be a run or pass.
  
  Tebow can be a very valuable asset - especially in 3rd & 5 or less situations.
  
  Many people believe 3rd down is the most important down in football.
