I hate to say it - but . . .

Sometimes a concise answer requires just one word, let alone an entire line.

Post count doesn't mean all that much around here. Some people place a lot of weight on it, but they shouldn't. Sure, people could make a bunch of short posts just to get their post count up but other than being able to reach the required 15 posts to list links there is little good reason to get a high post count. A high post count just indicates they've been here awhile, and that's not even a good indicator to rely on because many of us have lurked here for years before creating an account and coming out of the closet.

Buying from a seller with a high post count doesn't even mean you'll actually get a good product when you buy a WSO! (But I usually do.)

I know what you mean about people asking us to take a look at their site in their very first post here, but there will always be spammers. All we can do is keep on top of it as mods.

I wouldn't worry about it.

(Sometimes posts get moved to a more appropriate forum as well, so if you create a new topic and it disappears, that might be what happened. But that shouldn't alter your post count.)

Once you know what to look for, it's not that hard to spot the spammers.

Just remember, the Infraction & Report Post buttons are our friends.
