A highly influential band that is as unappreciated today as they were at the height of their careers, the Velvet Underground has never known great success. Brian Eno famously said that the first Velvet Underground album may have only been heard by a few thousand people, everyone of those people decided to start a band.

      That's because they where doing to much Heroin.
      Only concert I walked out on.
      Good album though I still listen to it.

    That's Lou Reed from Transformer, not VU. Great album, though. I played the 8 track till I wore it out and my whole dorm floor thought I was gay.
