I don't have an electric mixer. I only have a blender. Will my cookies be the same if i used a blender, or just fork to mix together the ingredient. The recipe says to use electric mixer what do you suggest me.Pls share.

Cookies? I've always just mixed cookies with a fork. Blenders are for cocktails and mixers are for cake. Some whimps even use blenders for bread anymore. LOL. Got to buy those toys and keep the corporate conglomerates conglomerating.

Anyone want to speak up and admit to being silly enough to actually own a bread maker?

      Um...
      I do.

In my defense it was a gift.

When it comes to shortbread cookies, I used only flour, sugar and butter and a small handheld "pastry cutter" meant for making pie crust.

Forks might work - or even two table knives. You can use your hands just a bit, too, if needed. You want to get it mixed to a crumbly texture without overwarming the butter in it. Simple - and very good to eat.
