| Disclaimer: This post is biased towards USA citizens. My apologies to all others. My motivation to remain a US citizen is driven purely by circumstance, not premeditated logic. So, given the choices, where would you like to live? I ask this question because-
My choice right now would be the Pacific NW. I love the climate (sweater weather), the mountains & ocean, etc. Plus, plenty of good music (I play dobro), coffee (I roast my own) & beer (I brew my own). My wife likes the NW also, but we have family in Chicago, so that area is an option. What are your opinions? |

Well I'm so pissed off, where the &%^*& is KY on that list?? Or did I miss it? Anyway I live in the best town on planet earth except for winters cause I hate snow, cold, and ice. And all temperatures in the 50s or below. I would probably pick FLORIDA cause of the warm weather, palm trees, beaches, and ocean. Second choice would be ARIZONA for the sunny warm weather and lack of hurricanes that I would suffer thru in Fl. When I can afford it I'm buyin a winter home in either FL or AZ and will stay here in the chosen land during summers. ![]() Oh and BTW- Out of everywhere I've ever lived, where I live has the nicest people I've ever come across. I thought it was so strange at first with complete strangers smiling at me. Took me a while to realize ppl here are just nice. And the cost of living is low compared to big places. As for the NW- too much rain and a disproportionate amount of serial killers. |

I'd pick a nice little town in Japan. But out of those choices, I'd go with Pacific NW as well. I lived in Washington for 6 months while I worked for Microsoft and just loved the area... and the consistent weather.

Sigh..you limited me to only ONE area to choose from....I would actually love to have a house here...one there..another there...and a few outside the U.S...just go to where suits my mood at the time But, even more than where I would love to live is WHO I would love to live with...because when you're with the ones you love...anywhere is home.My best advice though is that you sit down and make a list of the things you deem important in a place to live (which you have already shared some of) and then weigh the places you are considering to see which offers more of what you are looking for, and then trust that you will be "shown" somehow of the place that's the right fit for you and your family. Best wishes and if you want to know anything more about the Southwest I may be able to share some insight (but it may be a little biased since I'm a native lol) Namaste bj |

I guess it kinda still has almost a mayberry feeling to it, the people are great. And then the nature nearby is purty. The sunrise and fog coming over rolling hills and big trees. And I've never seen any blue grass to this day. ![]() But one of these days I'm gonna live in Florida And seagulls are cute, I want some pet seagulls.

I would personally go to Maui ![]() But if you consider Chicago - in some magazine I just recently saw they called Naperville (just west of Chicago) one of the great places to live in US. |

Ive been in California my whole life. I have only traveled outside California a couple times. If I had to choose a place I would love to live, I guess it would be here in California. I would pick a house that is larger than mine with a pool though!
