According to the quiz, I'm 37.4% smarter than average.

Not sure how that matters in the large scheme of things, though.

That was just trivia though, not really an IQ test like it said. So I'm not that proud.

True. I usually score above average on other IQ tests.

Apparently I'm stoopid. : ) Oh well. I think specialized knowledge is more important than general knowledge.
        Pffft!

Don't worry about it Jonathan! As Dave said it was just for fun and it only proves that you're not up on trivia more geared for the US.

        It's just trivial!

          Hi Terra,

I believe I have driven through your town. I had some friends in Lapeer. It seems like you are sort of between Lapeer and Pontiac, does that sound right?

I was there once in the summer and once in the winter, it was really pretty both times, but in dramatically different ways.

          Take care

            Exactly!

Yes, Lake Orion is a very beautiful rural area. I was born and raised here and love it! Well mostly, because I hate the cold winters, lol! But I can't deny that it really is breathtaking after a fresh snow fall.

My sister lives in Lapeer and it is also beautiful.

The fall colors here are astounding and the spring and summer flowers and gardens are heavenly. Glad you enjoyed it.

I don't like these type of quizzes because in reality there's different forms of intelligence. Someone people like Muhammad Ali could barely read, yet he was very articulate when he spoke. That's because he had social intelligence. I've seen people with lot of book smarts not be able to stand in front of even a small room and give a coherent speech that was fluid and confident...because they don't have social intelligence.

If you were able to gain a moment of enjoyment or happiness from this short diversion, that is the "large scheme of things". Sometimes it's good to disengage from self-inflicted stress. That was my only intention

Hi Joe, no it's not a true IQ test by any means. It's only intended to give you a short, well-deserved moment of enjoyment. And if your score was 67.6 - awesome

You make a great point. My submission was never intended to accurately measure intelligence. It was intended purely for entertainment. I hope you were at a minimum, entertained

I'm really surprised by the instant negativity to this post I assumed with the spelling of "stoopid", it would be pretty clear that it shouldn't be taken too seriously.

      Have a great day everyone!

I wasn't trying to be negative towards your post, quite the opposite actually. Don't worry, it was enjoyable and I learned a few new things. Had no idea what language Jesus spoke or that China shared a border with Afghanistan. Need to brush up on World History and Geography .

Thanks for the reply Joe. I'm glad you enjoyed.

I also learned a few new things, just like everyday!

      What a crock of ****

First of all, having 5 seconds to read and answer a multiple choice question is
      horse****

I don't do very well under that kind of ridiculous time pressure.

And WITH that I scored a 19 at 8:40 in the morning when I'm still half asleep.

I give that test about zero credibility and worth.

Apparently I am dumber than a rock when it comes to answering most of those questions.

Although, I don't judge someones "smartness" by they're book smarts ... your "smartness" in my opinion is your ability to interpret a situation or problem and work through it...

I think the most important aspects of intelligence are initiative and diligence. There people who are able to brilliantly complete tasks placed before them, eg in a classroom setting or a contest, but who don't do much on their own initiative and lack the drive accomplish big things.
