(By Ricky Gervais)

One of the best things I've seen on TV in ages. 10/10.

    Hey Jonathan,

Ricky is my best UK comedian but he was far better in 'The Office'. I've never laughed so much in my life. The horrible Boss role was out of this world and his funny dance.

Yeah that dance was a classic TV comedy moment.

I only laughed a couple of times at “Derek”. The jokes were well done and tasteful though (IMO.) For me it's more a portrayal of a wonderful/vulnerable person. : )

It's too bad Ricky's edge didn't carry over to the American version of "Office". I didn't realize how much Steve Carell was of that show until he left, but he was not as acerbic as Ricky, a lot of times he just came off as a dolt. (imo)

One of the biggest mistakes was when Rosanne Barr tried to adapt AbFab for the US...I miss that show.

I thought “The Office” was good. However I didn't realize how good an actor Ricky Gevais was until I saw “Derek.”
