What is PinInterest?

Not sure if there is a specific area for Social Networking questions but I'm posting this here...

I was just wondering if any of you use PinInterest? What's it good for? I'm not using it I don't even have an account yet, so I'm not even sure what it does?! I'm assuming it is like social bookmarking, marking articles of interest to share?

    It's a basic principle, more of a bookmarking service but instead of bookmarking you 'pin' your favorite items to a bulletin or pinboard. It's pretty great for finding new recipes and crafts for the home. I personally found a gorgeous pair of heels on there and had to get them

    That's great! Thanks so much for the information. I will sign up it sounds fun to use. I like the idea of a 'sample board' for beautiful things you find on the web especially since my hobby is designing. Sounds like it could be useful.
