Hmmmm. never understood why people take risks like this.... I value my life too much and want to squeeze every bit out of it before I do anything this risky.

Well first, that place is beautiful, would love to go there with a camera.

As far as getting in the water, when i was younger and thought i was invincible
sure, would have done it in a heart beat.

However, nowadays, you could not pay me enough to take that swim.

The only way I'd risk it would be if I'd been drinking. Since I'd been drinking, I'd certainly plummet to my death.

That's also why, when I drink, I put myself in one of those giant hamster balls...but I digress.

      Hmm,

I probably would decide to do it from watching the video, it looks like fun!

But I'm sure once I got there I would adamantly refuse to follow through with it as the chicken in me would take over, lol!

If there were a couple of people there before me, I could definitely handle it.

I suppose if I had to go first I would.

Not me. It's not heights that get to me - it's ledges. If I'm going to risk my life, it's got to be for something with a little value. I've been known to stretch the limits but it was for a cache of really amazing gemstone, not just some off the wall laughs.

The “value” (in my opinion) is doing the thing itself, and the feeling knowing you've accomplished something “dangerous/exciting.”

I would have probably done it when I was younger, and had no one that depended on me. Not really fair for me to take a risk like that now.

And I don't think the fall would scare me - but that sudden stop at the end would really suck!

It's probably easy for me to say this sitting here and I'm no person for heights neither, but that doesn't look frightening at all.

The very ledge they are sitting upon is literally a wall between the water and the edge so there's no way of a person being carried off the end by the flow of water (which isn't flowing strongly anyways) after they jump in and the thin film of water that's passing ontop of that ledge isn't doing anything neither other than acting as an optical illusion to suggest that people could be swept over.

It's easy for me to identify with serious risk. My heart turns over. Not to steal thunder, but this video for instance has that effect on me. To me, this represents risk and the people, true risk takers!

I would have done it when I was younger. We use to quarry jump, that was probably scarier. We actually jumped off of quarry cliffs 100 to 120 feet high into the water. If you didn't jump out far enough you'd hit dry land at the bottom. They fenced it in after someone was killed. It was a kind of "rite of passage" for the wild bunch I used to run with.

Now, I don't know. Probably not. Too many injuries to trust my body like I used to.

We did that also. No one was killed, but one guy broke both legs by not jumping far enough. Kids will do crazy things.

The death was long after I'd matured and moved away, so I don't know how old the person was who died. If I remember correctly, he actually drowned because he bounced off the side and went into the water and never came up.

Yeah, crazy stuff. We used to jump off a train bridge into the river too, but that wasn't as high. Probably about 60 feet or so.

Victoria falls? I have NEVER looked at that the same since that show branson had. He is WELL KNOWN for being fearless, etc... He dared a group to do various things. The winner probably won because HE SAID NO!!!!!! Branson said "I wouldn't either! I'm adventurous, NOT STUPID". The challenge? Go into a special device that would be shot down victoria falls. Like barrels down niagara falls.
