Anthony Hopkins; but honestly I only knew because my friend had shared the story on Facebook.

    Did you really guess?
Because honestly, I could not tell from the close-up...the smaller pic does look a bit like Hopkins, but I was surprised, and I'm usually pretty good at spotting these things - they got me.

I didn't use the close-up because of its size...

So you think he looks more like Lily Tomlin, or Meryl Streep?

I'd say he looks more like Lily Tomlin. Or should I say, Lily Tomlin in this picture looks like Alfred Hitchcock.

But I hear Meryl Streep is being considered to play Lily Tomlin in a BioPic tentatively titled "One Ringy-Dingy"...

I did right away Kim, but it was only by the eyes, well eye, lol. The rest of it didn't resemble him at all, to me.

  • The interesting thing I found out reading about Hitchcock, was that he planned his movies to such an extent in his mind's eye, and wrote down every minute detail, shot, etc., - that for him...making the movie only became something he did after the fact.
He had already seen the movie - he only made it to satisfy other people and get his check...

"Winging it" was not his style...

I read recently (wish I could remember where) that Hitchcock had a "thing" for his female star of The Birds and that she rejected his advances. So,she claims,he made making the film miserable for her and she also claims that she never became the star she should have because he spread vicious rumours around Hollywood about her.

Hmmm - I thought it was because all those birds pecked her face to shreds and she became camera shy.
