Disclaimer: I was told by one of the tribal chieftains of the OT that shop talk is frowned upon down here, I am seeing an awful lot of it here today, forgive me for adding to the fray....

I would feel absolutely anywhere from amateurish to completely idiotic hyping a PLR sales page. -- yet people tell me you can't sell without hype.
Sal, This is the 3rd time today I wanted to heist your post and start a new thread with it..., SO I DID!

This is a really confusing thing for me personally. I spent an hour on skype with an experienced and successful WSOer, whom kept prodding me, " why should I?", " Whats different?", " yeah, yeah, yeah, I am NOT sold", and eventually he got frustrated with me, due to the lack of hype in my sales copy. He eventually gave it a semi-stamp of approval,
Still insisting that there is not enough hype for the WF.

I then took it to the main board, A call for help from the Copy writers.
Got 2 PMs, and one detailed response from a CW, who completely shredded my copy. ( at least it was by PM...) he was right, I STINK!
Before I could get anymore responses the thread got nuked along with another Thread I started that day( my fault) so, to say the least, I was completely downtrodden.

Licking my wounds and needing to beat myself up a bit, I came down here to the OT just to post, not looking for response, just to post.
I should know better than trying to pull that off here.
Got a million dollar education from Mr. Gaskill (see it here )

So, Here I sit, completed product in hand, Awful, not hype-e enough sales copy,( according to the ones who know MUCH more than me),
Realizing I am totally befuddled.

I know I need to get a pro to write my sales copy.
Out of budget.

Should I roll the dice and just launch, knowing the main product is solid even though my sales copy sucks?

Or, wait until I have the funds for Pro Copy?

Rob, can you afford to lose $40 if you don't make even one sale? If so, consider going for it. You may learn from the experience.

Have you studied copywriting at all? There are a lot of good ebooks and print books on the topic. You can probably get the basics for free online. PM me with a link to your sales copy. I'm not promising anything, but I will take a look at it.

Yup.I am considering taking the leap and risking no sales. That would force me to change strategy. I did the math for hiring a pro, it would be similar to the no sales scenario unless XXX sold, even more of a loss.

This has been an eye opener for me.

I have to make better decisions.

Holy Crap, I sound like Captain Obvious.

And, No, Sir. Havent studied Copywriting a bit. Point taken
