Do you think that California or Australia is more livable than Japan?

    Never been to Japan or Australia - but I can't imagine anyone still considering California "livable". Each to their own I guess.

    live in australia, especially the west and the territory, but japan is a great place to visit

    but australia speaks a similar language to me

    I was stationed in Japan in the late '80s, and I live in California now. Having said that, I think your question is too broad. At the very least I think you should give your own definition of "livability", where (city, country) and how (apartment, tent) you want to live, and so on.
