** MOST RECENT UPDATE IS AT BOTTOM OF THREAD **

On the suggestion of a great member here (lcombs) I have set up the Rubber
Water Fan Page on Facebook and am uploading some tunes for people to check
out.

Rubber Water was the name of my first group back in 1977.

The ultimate goal is to build a following and then, well, who knows?

We'll see how this goes.

Here is the link to my Fan Page if anybody wants to check it out.

https://www.facebook.com/RubberWater

I'm going to try to get at least a half dozen tunes up by the end of the day
and update the page at least once a week with 1 or 2 more tunes.

Any feedback is welcome...good or bad.

I absolutely love the graphic/profile pic, Steve!

Be sure to keep us posted when you get more tunes uploaded, too.

    I "liked" it, too.

Okay, I have uploaded 8 songs to my fan page, one nobody has ever heard
before which is a tribute to anybody who has ever lost a loved one in our armed
forces or has somebody there now they pray will come back to them.

The song is called "All Come Home" and it's on my latest CD "Transformation"

It's a lot different from my usual work.

Anyway, I will be updating the page at least once every week with 1 or 2 new
        songs.

    I liked KMA...

I sent that one to a songwriter friend who's been in that kind of mood lately.
I'll tell you what he thinks...

Thinking of sending it to Paul Thorn too...he's due for a songwriters showcase here next month, I think. He did...

This is the band Steven's new song is about.
I kinda thought they were a local band just getting started.
              Obviously, I was wrong.

Maybe they can give "Rubber Water" a plug.

Larry, these guys are getting to be pretty well known and my daughter is
personal friends with all of them. In fact, she follows them around quite a bit
                and photographs them.

You can see some of her stuff on her blog.

Here's an article and some Jukebox photos that she took so you don't have to
                go searching.

I did meet them personally when they played in Morristown, NJ about a couple
of years ago. Great guys. Really down to earth and very talented. They
really have fun doing this. They opened for Bare Naked Ladies the night I
                saw them.

No matter how bad a day I'm having, when I listen to their music, it always
puts a smile on my face. Have both their CDs, both signed by the members.

We need to get everybody to share the page.
And, encourage our friends to share it.

And, if you're feeling really ambitious set up a Blogger blog and a WP blog

My fan page has been updated with 2 new songs NEVER before heard.

      Give Me One More Chance

Another Day In The Twilight Zone

A little story about Another Day In The Twilight Zone

It was written in 2001. This was before I started IM and was heavily into my music. The CD was "Techno Babble" and was one of my more orchestral and complex works. If you listen, you'll see that the style is much different than what you're used to hearing from my more recent songs. This one is also one of my personal all time favorites.

      Enjoy!

Fan Page was updated today with 2 more songs that have never been heard
        before.

First one is a tune called

        And So It Goes

It was written in 2001 and I lost the lyrics so I had to recreate them, which
wasn't as tough as having to do the same for...

        Say Goodbye To 1999

A good part of this song is in a number of foreign languages. When I first did
this, I looked up all the spellings. Now, not even remembering what some of
these languages are, it would be impossible for me to recreate perfectly. So
I have no doubt there are tons of spelling mistakes as I did the ones I didn't
        know phonetically.

The recording quality of these isn't so great. Back then I had some pretty
crappy equipment. But they are two of my favorite songs. You can see how
my style has changed in the past 12 years or so.

        Anyway, enjoy!

The Rubber Water Fan Page was updated today with 2 new tunes that have
          never been heard before.

The first one is from my latest CD Transformation

          I Know Why

The second one is from my CD Random Generator from 2002 and has a little
story that goes along with it.

Every year, my wife runs Vacation Bible School at our church. Well, that year
I went for a special day with the kids. We played a game. They gave me 3 notes
and a title and I was to make a song out of it. The 3 notes HAD to be the first
          3 notes of the song.

Later that week, I went to the final evening of bible school and played
this song for everybody there. It got a standing ovation, though I am sure
          mostly out of common courtesy.

Oddly, to this day, this is one of my favorite songs. I wish the recording was
          better but, well, whatever.

So here, for the first time anywhere outside of my church...

          God's Magical Garden

          Enjoy!

The Rubber Water Fan Page was updated with 2 songs today.

The first one is an original that is a spoof on Irish Punk Rock Songs. It is not
        for the easily offended.

Just a warning as I really mangled the Irish dialect and some language. But it
was all in fun. Sometimes you just gotta not take this business too seriously.

The second song is a cover of the MacGyver theme song. It's close to the
season 1 version though not exactly. It came out pretty good if I do say so
        myself.

        Enjoy!
