...and do you tie the shoe you put on first before putting on the other shoe or wait until both shoes are properly on your feet?

Not at all, Dave - not at all: the more theads we have about the shoes, the better.

My habit is to put the right shoe on before the left, and to do up any straps etc. on the right one before starting the left. How about you? Do you even wear shoes with laces?

Do you not have some manservant to carry out this task for you?

Are you kidding? I don't wear shoes at all...unless of course a store clerk happens to look over the counter and say..."no shoes, no service"

Geez, people must be pretty rich in Alabama if they can afford fancy stuff like shoes. Next you'll be telling me that folks round your way wear pants as well.

Wish I was rich like you folks.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

It is a personal choice to wear Shoe or not.. I prefer to wear right shoe first then left whenever I go out.

You know, I never thought of this until now, but I put on my left shoe first,
then the right, then I tie the left and then the right.

Of course if I'm wearing loafers, I dive into them both feet at the same time
      and that screws everything up.

J/K. Loafers vary depending on my mood. :p

Whichever one I pick up first I put on first. As for tying, if it's my sneakers, they are always tied so I slip them on like loafers. If it's my workboots or dress shoes, that depends on which knee hurts worse that morning. I tie the one with the more painful knee first, to get it over with...

      Wow Dave!

I never realized how methodical I was before you asked.

It seems I always put on the right, tie, buckle fasten or whatever, then the left, always, every time.

Just as an experiment, I'm going to try it the other way and see if it messes up my day, lol!

Left, then right, then tie left, then right. Wonder why I have shoes on my hands (and how I tied the laces). Start over.

  • Maybe this explicitly descriptive video will be of assistance...
After this video...you should be able to teach your cat how to tie a shoe...

  • Only left-handed people are in their right mind - :p

Right handed people are left brained
