Many thanks for keeping this forum running Paul.

I'd like to sort out all the trolls (etc.) myself however I'm just too soft in the head. : )

Thanks Again.

While Paul does a lot, he is not the only moderator. The entire team does a fantastic job at keeping on top of this place and keeping the crap to a minimum.

Yes there are many, and I agree they all do a good job. I don't even know who the others are, though some I think I could guess, just due to my and theirs longevity here, but Paul definitely deserves some recognition for a job well done.

      Tina,
he is not the only moderator
Not by a long shot. There are 6 forum-wide moderators, and a bunch who carry the weight in some of the sub-forums. Plus one who keeps tabs on the blogs.

Plus every person who reports problems. This place would be overrun pretty quickly without those reports, so those are who you should be thanking most, Jonathan.

The days when one person could handle the mod duties alone are long gone. And good riddance, I say. Things are a lot more stable with a big group sharing the load.

It's so nice knowing that I don't waste my time hitting that red triangle 50 times a day. Kudos to all involved in assisting. If they had a "reported post" count next to post count, mine would most definitely be at least 2-3x higher than my posts.

I think it's up to the individual moderators whether to make it public knowledge. I know there have been mods in the past who preferred that others did not know. Moderators get a huge amount of flak from disgruntled members, plus I would imagine a lot of PMs from people who think a mod can help them in some way. I've moderated at other forums, a lot less busy than this one, and it can be overwhelming fast. Not to mention aggravating.

I know of another mod but will not name names. Naming them can make them and their businesses potential targets for people looking for revenge. Would you want some of these bad people angry, and able to find out what your websites etc are?

Pay no nevermind to Joe. He loses his focus sometimes, but he means well. I remember one time when he found a kitten and the doctor said, that's no ordinary cat, Madam, that's a well-targeted mailing list can help you bake for one hour at 350 degrees or until the paint dries, which isn't often.
