Is it possible to use Dragon to "transcribe" interviews recorded on MP3's

Has anyone tried this? Just curious...

    Do you mean automatically?
    I think i saw this asked before either here or in a FB forum,but I am not sure what the answer was.I will post it in a couple of FB markweting forums I know and see if I get the answer for you.

    I would say no. It has enough trouble trying to decipher normal speech. Trying to play a recording on top of that will have you editing all over the place.

    Laurencewins,

    I'm not sure what version you tried but its accuracy has improved a lot.This computer I am on right now I built in 2004 and it has version 9 on it.
    I recently used Dragon to type a letter to my congressman and I only had to do a few corrections.
    I actually received Version 11 Home about a year ago but it won't work on this machine. So it is tucked away until I can get a new computer.

    Dave, did you find what you needed to know?
    Most of my friends said depending on the final use it would probably be easier to pay a transcriber to do it for you.For instance if it was an interview then they could also clean it up, delete pauses and dead spots etc etc.

      I did. And somebody else on the payroll is probably the guys best bet...
