Backup! - I just deleted everything

So on my computer I have a folder called Internet Marketing which contains every file on 'internet marketing' I have every created.

It had invoices, all my projects complete and incomplete, every ebook I every bought, copies of all my sites.... the list goes on and on. My entire business in a single folder basically.

I think you can see where the story is going. So I was doing some clean up on my mac today and in a flurry of keystrokes inadvertently deleted and not realizing emptied the trash and the folder was gone.

So if you know of any data recovery software for Mac I will buy it ASAP. I am having a tough time finding something that is not for windows.

The small silver lining is I do have a backup from January 1'st if nothing else works but I don't really want to throw away two months of work without a fight.

You always hear stories of people saying, do backups regularly and you always say 'why'? Now you know why.

The last time I heard of anybody doing this, about two years ago, he took his machine down to the local Guardia Civil (National Police) barracks and asked for help. They sent his machine to the guys who run the kiddie porn detection unit and had his content recovered within a couple of hours.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

I am not sure about Macs but Windows now comes with a 'Restoral Point' and you can go back to a date prior to the date of your accident.

Look for something like that - as well some anti-virus suites have the same function to recover your system prior to the date of the incident...

I just typed in "macintosh data recovery" into Google and came up with more solutions than I could view in one sitting.

Did you even try to search for this?

Anyhow, hope everything can get restored quickly!

You might try a Live Linux CD (UBUNTU or Kbuntu or Freespire)
which you can just boot from your optical drive and see your
drive/partition on the desktop screen. Navigate from there and
save/drag stuff to an external firewire or USB drive ??????
