Thinking of buying some new blazers to wear with jeans and/or dress slacks.

What is the appropriate "fit" for current blazers?

Specifically, how far below the belt line should it hang?

I have heard several opinions on this and I was wondering what you guys thought.

  • It depends on if you want to look "trendy" or have a jacket that will last and you can wear for a long time - "trendy" jackets right now are way short - they look goofy on the wrong person...it depends on your build...

Standard blazer should hang just where your slightly cupped fingers hang - and like a good lawyer - it should cover your butt -

Sleeve should end just at wrist break (knuckle)...

Shoulders snug but not tight - chest comfortable when buttoned - aprox. fist flat width of clearance

Go look at blazers online and go with what you like and see what others are wearing at the moment. Too big or to small looks ridiculous.

I don't think that its so difficult to buy a new blazer.but the thing you must remember in mind that before buying check the size properly.

Its important you look at your body type/shape and consider what best suites you, before you go for a particular cut/design.
