Trivia time:

Australian actor Peter Finch was the first actor to receive a posthumous Oscar for his role as Howard Beale in Network.

The only other actor to receive a posthumous Oscar was also an Aussie, Heath Ledger.

Maybe we need to have more re-runs of this one? I don't know about you people, but I've been screaming my face off for awhile that I'm mad as hell. Don't seem to hear a lot of people screaming with me yet. Maybe they are busy texting.

Actually - I remember when that film came out. Nobody was talking about it in the same tone as now. Back then what drew people to the theaters was that they were going to get to see Mary Poppin's boobies. Serious.

Holy cow - you're right. I saw both - and the Mad as Hell scene is what I mainly remember about Network - Now I can't remember which one Faye Dunaway was in. Damned - I might just have to rent Network and see it again after all.
