    Yesterday is history.

    Tomorrow is a mystery.

    Today is a gift.

That's why it is called the present.

Those are wise words from Thomas Jefferson. It's been in my quotations file for years.

My positive words: "Each day is your canvas. You are the artist. Paint a masterpiece on as many days as you are able and your life will become a work of art."
    - Dennis Gaskill

Yes, I use my own words as inspiration. It's not done out of vanity, but because I've never found anything that has more personal meaning.

"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." ~ Winston Churchill

      and

"There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative." ~ W. Clement Stone

I have many more but those are the two that immediately came to mind.

      I love it Dennis!

I always say: Your life is a book that you author. Everyday is a new blank page that you have the ability to write. It's up to you whether you pen a tragedy or an inspirational.

Oh! That's a dandy! It's going into my quotes file. Did you make that up? I'm going to attribute it to you because nothing turns up in Google for it except this thread.

          Thanks Dennis!

Yes, I did make it up. I said it when my daughters were teens. One of them was going through a woe is me, the world is against me kick.

I sat down to talk to her about it and when that came out of my mouth, I thought to myself, Ooh, that's good, and have used it ever since.

I have so many it would be hard to pick. ... "Money flows to me easily smoothly and abundantly... there will be a time not far from now when it comes in so abundantly and easily that I will laugh at myself for not having let it in sooner" - Abraham Hicks

"We never lack money- we are swimming in a sea of it- we only lack ideas to make some of it flow toward us- Ideas open up channels to where prosperity can flow toward us" - Randy Gage

"You are not 5 years away from your dreams- you are only ONE relationship away from them. Someone around you holds a key to unlock them NOW- you just have to recognize them and develop that relationship" -Mike Murdock

"I will not be as the failure. A lamb being dumbly lead to the slaughterhouse of life... I will not eat with the sheep nor sleep or drink with them. I am a Lion and failure does not course in my veins..." - Og Mandino

"Are the thoughts of a cock roach of any consequence to a Lion?" - Jimbo13 (Dan) Fellow Warrior.

"Blessed Is The Man Who Believes Without First Seeing" - Jesus Christ

I love that last one because I can believe my visions without having to see them come to pass first, and that makes them come to pass... I know that the road of the failure is traveled most often because most men have to see first to believe.

Be a "Visionary". That may be my next favorite word.

I have the great Anthony Hopkins to thank for mine. He explained in an interview that he, in turn, gleaned them from a Jesuit priest who gave them as his answer to the question "What is the shortest payer in the world?"

    "F**k it".

    As in "F**k, it's in God's hands".

Words to live and die by, if you ask me.
