Confused

Hi everyone,
I am new to IM, actually, that is not quite true. I started looking into this a couple of years ago, but a very stressful full-time job prevented me from learning what is there to learn. Now that my work life is not quite so stressful anymore, and I am getting close to retirement, I have decided to give IM a shot again. However, I am somewhat confused as to which programs to use to teach me everything from A to Z. I see offers of the day, etc. and get plenty of other need-to-have program offers every day, and I have purchased several already. But, whenever I think I have everything to get me to my ultimate goal - there is a new program that I think I should have. I am basically interested in becoming an Amazon affiliate. That, however, presents another problem - I can't even quite figure out which niche I think I fit in. Every time I have come across something that I want to sell - I see lots of competition and doubts are nagging on me again. So, I search again.

Also, what I found out is that some of the programs I purchased are good, but leave out a number of steps. Then I look at other offers and purchase them, getting me into that same circle of not knowing which program(s) are necessary to learn everything and get me on the way.

I have just bought the Fast Attack Penguin Program and must say that of all the programs I have purchased so far this is the best, most comprehensive and easiest to understand program for the price. It is a no-nonsense, to the point program that does not waste time. This may not mean much from someone who does not know yet what she is really doing, but if all programs were like that, I think I would already have achieved my goal and my first web-site would be up and successful.

If someone out there could steer me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate any advise I can get.
