Has anybody watched Eurovision? Can you share your impressions? My impression is that the winner has a good melody but I am sad that my country (Romania) was only in 12th position.

I haven't watched it, but I know Sweden came on the #1 place.

Sweden rock anyways so I'm glad they came first!

Yes , indeed... UK and France was a surprise for us to see that they do not obtained many points... I have understood that not only the voting for the final show is counting...there is also a performance a day before with a jury that gives competitors points and this is counting 50% for the final result.

I watched part of the finale, pretty much the end and the scoring. I don't care for EuroVision as a whole but they do showcase some good talent at times.

I've also read that Sweden's Loreen copied another, already produced song. Supposedly she just changed the lyrics a little and sped up the tune. I've watched the clips on YouTube of both songs and totally see it. Such things don't surprise me anymore, though. As it is all politics, it was probably rigged from the beginning.

We'll see what happens next year. Hopefully, Serbia or Russian will do better next time. I wouldn't mind bringing EuroVision back to Serbia. Or seeing the show Russia would put on.

Oh it's definitely all politics. Sadly. Nothing can be done anymore without politics involved. And while I love politics, it doesn't belong everywhere.

Ryan, I completely agree. I live here and while I don't care for Zeljko as a person, many of his songs are great. I had hoped for 1st again. Would have loved to see the Babushkas from Russia win honestly. They've put all the earnings they collected from being in EuroVision to rebuild a church back in their small village that was shut down and I think destroyed during communism.
