Facebook and My Fanpage Posts.....

So I own several facebook fan pages with 10,000 or more "fans". I noticed recently that when I went to post a message to MY "fans" that not everyone got my post. Apparently I have to "pay" (facebook calls it "promote") now to get more people (my fans mind you) to view the post I make to my fanpage. I dont know how long this has been going on but I just recently noticed.....apparently only 2% get my posts.

These are my fans, I took the time to collect them, why should I have to pay?

    This was always the case (not everyone seeing your posts) - they just made the stats more visible to tempt you to pay extra (so that more people will see it).

    If you want more people to see your posts (without paying) you need to work on your Edgerank by getting your fanbase to interact with you. There plenty of articles talking about this, good luck! :-)

      Thanks. I never noticed before because I rarely use facebook these days; and now will do so even less.
