If there's one internet marketing CAPITAL in the U.S. - which city?

I wonder if it's San Diego... Or perhaps Phoenix, or Austin?

Many of the big names live in SD. The internet marketing party and among others, Ryan Deiss, is located in Austin.

Criterias can be... number and size of internet marketing events, and amount of internet marketing business located in specific areas.

What do YOU think?

I have noticed a lot of the big names are from California and Texas but there's nothing official

If you're in Internet marketing, why in the world would you have to live in a city? Unless you like cities, which I don't.

Lots of successful Internet marketers live where you would least expect because they have found a place that has the lifestyle of their dreams.

Internet market is for capturing entire world. You should target entire world, instead of a particular city.
But if you insist, i guess California is a best place for internet marketing.
    Thanks.

Amelia Island, Florida. Well... it's the capital of MY internet kingdom. That's the great thing about IM. You can live anywhere you want, as long as it has internet access.

I think that big internet marketers live where they feel better. Is the advantage of internet marketing-you can live almost everywhere on the globe and still work and get paid

Atlanta is a pretty big hot spot for internet marketers...I live about an hour from the city. Close enough for the entertainment value the city provides, but far enough away so I don't have to deal with the traffic & insane amount of people on a daily basis.

It's difficult to say because there are a ton of successful marketers who stay out of the limelight, mostly because they don't sell to the MMO market. Really, they're all over the place. I know there are plenty in Austin, Texas, but as far as picking one capital? That would be really tough......

Uh ... would that be because he asked for the IM capital of the US?

That really has nothing to do with being successful outside of the US. Places outside the US could be even more successful than those in the US, they just don't qualify for this discussion based on the geographic parameter suggested.

OK Dennis. I looked it up but didn't see anything that stood out. It's late though. So help me out. Why is Boondocks the internet capital?

You must be tired. Did you miss the wink and smile?

The Boondocks is a gas station and hotel in the middle of cornfields in central Iowa. I used to live near there. In other words, it's as far from being the capital of anything - other than maybe corn - as it gets.

They may not even have Internet access there. No one lives there. The people who work there drive in from nearby towns.

Sorry Tim, but I really didn't expect anyone to take me seriously on that.

I would guess it would be a city or more in California. There is always alot happening there in the internet. Most big companies are there as well. I do not have to name them you know who they are.
