Russian speaking fans have erupted and attacked stewards at the recent Euro match with Czech republic.
How can they stamp this out of sport?
No wonder many fans stayed away with the threat of violence and racist taunts towards the black players there...absolutely disgusting!

Not only do incidents like that keep fans away, but it has turned many against the sport. Combine that with recent match-fixing scandals and it's obvious the "sport" needs a serious overhaul.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

I think it was a mistake having this in Ukraine and Poland which is a shame for the normal people who live out there.

But how many major sporting events, and football is the worlds most popular spectator sport by miles, have warnings by Embassies not to go if you are black or Asian because of the racist violence?

You have black English football players whose families are not going to be out there to watch their sons and brothers play because they will more than likely be attacked by the Ukranian and polish fans who have told them they are not welcome.

Yesterday in Poland 500 young Poles were racially abusing people in some town.

This is what the Dutch training camp had to put up with, also in Poland.

There is the video clip above also from Friday in the Ukraine and further to that Russian and Ukrainian fans had fight somewhere in the early hours of Saturday morning.

All this in 24 hours on day one.

  • Tell them if they don't get their act together, we'll send the TSA over there to man the gates - by the time they get in...the game will be over -

Maybe it has to do with team sports (which I enjoy playing enough), sort of being war paradigms, thus causing some riffraff to treat it like real war. The crowds and mob mentality that takes place during sports events can be frightening. I witnessed extreme mob stupidity in Vancouver when fools rioted after Vancouver lost a hockey championship to Boston. Being of antisocial nature, I was never into mobs to begin with. What happens is that individuals in groups lose logical-thinking due to a sheep mentality doing what others in the group are doing, however ridiculous or however violent. Thus, episodes such as this or demonstrating nude in Montreal. Doing what other group members are doing, however silly. The best way to deal with it is be antisocial.
