Hi! I know that this is kinda of a lost cause, but does anyone play Dota 2 that can invite me to the game??

If I wait I'll only have my key from valve 5 months from now...............

    It sounds like that Valve isn't releasing the game for 5 months if its going to take that long to get a legal key.

      Average waiting time is 3-5 months, and by that time I won't have much time to play You have dota 2?

      Also, they are releasing the game by the end of this year so in 5 months the game will be released

    Actually just seeing if he was admitting to trying to get an illegal key to a game that apparently isn't being released for 5 months.

    I have a beta key and I haven;t played since the day I got it.

      No,sorry, I don't know anything about games. I just own a gaming forum, AM the leader of a gaming clan, and before I started my own clan was a member of two extremely large clans that competed competitively.

      I've been gaming since the Atari 2600 was released and there are only a handful of systems that I have NOT played on.

      Also when the arcade game Tsunami came I owned 23 full size arcade games.They have been listed in other gaming threads on this forum.

      Now, if he has said the Beta release I'm sure I would have known what he was talking about,I've beta tested a few games before. But every time I did, Iw was provided a beta key along with access to the game.

      But he didn't say that, he said he wanted a key to a game that was being released about 5 months away, which made me think he had a gotten hold of a warez version.

      But then, I don't know anything about games,gaming,or gamers. :rolleyes:

        If you knew anything about games, you would know he meant a BETA key.

      Let me guess: you played dota 1 game, you were killed over and over and then you quit and then because you played 1 game you go to the forums and say ""Dota is too slow and boring, LOL is better" -> typical. :p Fact is, LoL to Dota is like Call of Duty to Battlefield: everyone can play and get used to it in some games, the maps are smaller and linear making it easy to play, almost no complexity making it (again) easy to play etc. etc.

    And as I said before, if you get a Beta version of a game to play legally,you are almost certainly given the key at the same time.

    Contrary to what I said in the psychic thread,I am not really psychic! Hard to believe,I know, but I believe in saying what I mean. I still haven't heard HIM say he wanted a beta key,but I won't say you are wrong.

    The clans competed in Quake,Unreal Tournament , and Soldier Of Fortune.
    Later when I formed my own clan we played (non-competitively) Team Fortress Two and after that L4D and L4D2.

    I still enjoy playing the COD series of games,and occasionally L4D2.
    With The Zombie Apocalypse upon us, I consider it good training.

      Well, then maybe you can help me. I'm playing Unreal Tournament 2004. The Assault scenarios... How do I beat it? I really don't know what I should be doing. I just run around and kill anything that comes in the way. The lady keeps saying, "The gate has been opened. Move." But, where's the frickin' gate!?

    Oh, here is a short list of acrcade games I used to own and operate.(No, I can't remember all 20 something anymore,I'm old).
    Had the first Centipeded in the area
    had the first Ms Pac Man in the area,but upright and cocktail models.
    Had the first Zaxxon,the first "3D" video gameHad Galaxian,the fore runner of the breakout hit Galaga.
    Had a game that was a pac man knock off called Thief

    Had Qix,have a game of a clown on a unicycle called I think Kick,then kickman.

    Also a game called Armour Attack and the vector graphic classic called Battlezone.

    Anyway, I could write a book on gaming if I was so inclined.

    I applied for a beta spot and was approved like 24-48 hours later. Not sure if they are still giving out spots anymore?

      You had luck, I've heard guy that waited 6 months to get his key :/ Can you please invite me??

      I think you invite this way: click 'Manage Gifts and Guest Passes'

      A window will open within Steam client. Select the DotA2 gift and send it directly via Steam gifting system or via email. You will be able to still play dota 2, don't worry
