MoneyMaker,

I understand that you are frustrated, but think of it this way. This forum is one of the largest if not the largest IM forum online which draws the largest amount of people which draws the largest amount of scammers, bots, trolls and spammers. Therefore, the 50 post restriction is not only feasible, but quite doable as well. It also is sort of a neighborhood watch against the fore mentioned undesirables.

If you participate in the community in which you wish to hold your commerce transactions, then the 50 post count flies by in no time.

By the way, there are certain sub-forums where posts don't count, like this one for instance.

  I notice this comment frequently from new members. If people are PMing you to buy things - they are spamming the pm system.
  
  I don't get PMs like that - because they know I'd report them.
  
  So - on the bright side - the limitation is saving you from spammers

Sorry if this is re-iteration but I'd like to address the OP personally. I'll read the thread, I promise.

1. - So? Someone is supposed to bleed over that? If you don't like it, build a forum without the rules. That's what you're here to learn anyhow isn't it?

2. You come in here and whine about how things are after two months. Two Months. two freaking months. Allen's forum has been around for well over - what is it guys, 2 decades now? And there is a core of members who have been there that long, and several multi-year generations. If you think you can do better - hell, if you think you can do a significant fraction as, why don't you stop the BS and go do it.

I'm not sure I'd be complaining about the limitation.

I learned that on the forum I run people were using PMs to solicit business, make offers, etc., something that isn't allowed. So I turned the PM feature off.

I should have said 3 or 4 revisions too probably...
But I semi count VBulletin twice,because wasn't this Vbulletin too before we migrated to the current version,or did it just have the same look?

You're complaining about 50 posts? I made 80 my first day here. (Okay, wasn't
my smartest idea) Point is, you should be able to hit 50 posts with regular
contribution to the forum in less than a week. There is so much here to talk
about. Just go to Main Discussion and check out the topics. Pick something
you're interested in. Contribute.

It's a novel concept and one that you just might like.

That one was Snitz. I know that because we moved to vBulletin in August of 2008. Plus, it says so at the bottom.

Thomas designed the look, I believe, and adapted it to fit vBulletin when Allen moved the thing.
