The Ultimate Broadway Musical Showtunes Thread
This thread has been LONG overdue folks. Movie versions are also welcome if
they stand up to the originals. In some cases (Showboat) they surpass them.
A lot of people here think I grew up with rock and roll because of how much of
it I've been exposed to, but the truth is, Broadway was what I really grew up
with, was and IS my first love.
I'm starting this off with a tune that might surprise a lot of people given how
many show tunes there are to choose from, especially with all the "big" ones.
But this tune may very well be one of the greatest ever, though maybe not
generally recognized as such, and certainly one of the greatest, yet subtle,
performances ever.
