    I am glad the forum decided to ban political and religious comments. Not too long ago,
    almost all of the posts were bashing America, and only Sgt. White had to balls to
    take them all on.

      Last I remember was that someone had stolen his laptop and being retired and fixed income it was going to be awhile before he could replace it. He posted that from a library, I think...

      I did a little detective work and "found" him in a little community east of Houston, TX...I intended to give him a call and hopefully meet him for a coffee or something but haven't been down that way for a couple years now...

      Hopefully, all is well with our old pal Rich.

    Thanks, Dave.

    It's terrible when I realize somebody is 'missing in action' - sometimes just because it is shocking when I realize how long it's been since they showed up around here.

    ... and embarrassing when somebody returns that you never realized had been gone -

    Anyway I hope ol' Sarge is doing ok - what a bummer about his laptop - after all he did in his career to stop creeps to get hit by one when he is too old to fight back.

    It's cold and windy and the fog will roll in just in time for the fireworks like almost every single 4th of July I can remember here. It's not dark yet - kind of surprising I haven't heard a single firecracker or anything yet. Real low key this year I guess -

    I imagine most places it is already dark and people are out watching the fireworks! Yippeeee!

    I know it would be disappointing after waiting all day, but this is kind of funny...

    They had a bit of a Boo-boo in San Diego with their fireworks display - somehow, someone apparently made a mistake hooking up the pyrotechnics...:confused:

    AND THEY ALL WENT OFF AT THE SAME TIME!

    The Fireworks people who had waited all day to see lasted NINE seconds!! :p

    Yeah...it was really great - but really short!

    Man...can you imagine the look on the face of the guy who just realized he set off the whole show at once? Man - you do not want to be that guy...

    Talk about starting the show with a Big BANG!
