In what format do you listen and buy music?

Do you buy your music in 'hard' format or have you gone 100% digital?

This is a community that is comfortable online, but how does this fact effect your music buying habits? I've not bought a CD from a shop (real world or online) for years now. Everything I listen to is through mp3 or occasionally via my old CD collection.

I must admit I miss picking up the sleeve and reading the notes. You'll notice I said sleeve, that's referring to vinyl LPs of yesteryear for the whipper-snappers that now frequent this forum. But it's not enough to make me want to buy a physical 'record' anymore.

So, what about your good selves? CD or mp3 or are you a vinyl lover? (no fetish answers now!)

Peter, it should have been a poll that let us select more than one answer.
I would have to go with one and two.
Any music I am going to actually buy I get from ITunes,
Music to drive by gets burned to a cd.
I was given a USB turntable for Christmas two years ago to transfer my vinyl to cds.
I have over two thousand LPs and aproximately three thousand 45s.
Again for the whipper snappers, LPs are the big platters with the little hole in the middle and 45s are the little platter with the big hole in the middle.
I still haven't hooked it up.

      Kim,

I bet you're the one who clicked the last option, aren't you Kim? LOL

But you're right, should gone for the multi-option poll. Never mind.

That's one big record collection you have there - pure hobby or was it work related?

    Actually I picked option 2!.

While the collection was a combo of work and hobby, it was more hobby than anything else, I love music.
Too bad they stopped making it in the mid 90's!
