Only problem I see with that is that often we are not in the right mindset to properly determine whether the criticism is constructive or destructive.

Best policy in my mind, no matter which it might be is... "Water off a ducks back".

Take what you can get from it, as even the "haters" might have valid points, and toss the rest.

Nevertheless, as emotional being as we are, entertaining haters would surely ruin our day

so if you want a positive day, never mind them! lol

I believe most people would distinguish them by the emotional reaction they have when the criticism is offered. In other words, you control whether it's destructive or not. Pretty potent stuff if you can believe me.

If you dwell on constructive feedback, then your performance improves. If you focus on the destructive feedback, then your performance stalls or worsens. That is my opinion, and also I believe that it is fairly simple to test using outcome based anecdotal information.

The only reason haters exist is because other haters listen to them. Why else would someone lister to a hater but a hater. It is a know fact that no matter who they are or what they say, if no one

is listening they want be talking very long.
