Hey Now...Are You A Howard Stern Fan?

Being from the sticks, I never got to listen to Howard growing up. I just heard that he was the "Debil" and was going to Hell in a handbasket.

When I had learned he was coming to satellite radio, I went out and bought one waiting for his debut...and have been listening ever since. I can see why he has made it in the industry. He is ruthless! He made his own niche and stuck with it even when people said it wasn't right...that should motivate people right there!

I love Howard. Do you?

    I used to listen to Howard during the morning/afternoon until BTLS came on. Then BTLS went to IORadio. Occasionally I'll listen to them, but ever since BTLS left Sirius, its been here & there... both Howard & BTLS are probably the best radio talk show hosts to this day.

    I never really cared for his talk-show antics. His shows were fun in a juvenile way, but there's only so much of that a person can ingest without losing brain-cells.

    However, I do enjoy watching him now every once in a while on America's Got Talent.

    What is BTLS?

    I got to agree with lcombs,nowadays he is an ass.
    I lived in the Wash DC area when he first became a "shock jock", but the novelty wore off quickly.

    I listened to him for a while in the late 90s. Like Gary said - after a while it was tiresome and became kinda the same day in and day out.

    Same with O&A - funny and obnoxious, but got old quick.

    I do give him credit for his longevity and how he was able to remain on the air...

    Even though his radio show is not my thing, I do like him on America's Got Talent. Obviously he has to keep up his radio persona for the money, but I think underneath it all he's a pretty decent guy...

      I was thinking that too for a while Gary til I saw a recent tirade against Howie.

      But then, it could have been all for show (ratings).

        I must have missed that one.

        He is a ratings master though, so it's really hard to tell which part of this is just an act for him - if not all of it.
