Yes, I play a little bit - quite badly.

I'm a serious backgammon and bridge player and occasional chess player (great disappointment to my father!). I used to like it when I was at high school (perhaps because the standard was dreadful there and there wasn't much competition), and have even played a little bit of correspondence chess by email, but I don't do very well.

Been a chess player foe about 35 years.
Taught my grandson to play when he was about 5.
He's 20 now and will kick my ass everytime!

I played chess since I was a child.
My father played and played a lot by mail, as there was not an internet or cyberspace back when he played it.
I never had the patience to play by mail.

Yes I play on (ICC) Internet Chess Club.

I also like watching the Grandmasters play on there.
Very enjoyable.

  Yeah, used to play with my chess computer before it broke!
  
  Got up to level 3 once of twice, (8 levels altogether) but don't really play it anymore, after it broke, about 13 years ago.

In my case no because I don't know the ABC of chess
but I like to play draft ludo carom and other game but chess noway it totally game of mind and my IQ is very low.

I don't play chess much but I use to play Go ( Black and white stone board game). I guess i can say it looks plain but there are some much startergy that revolves around it.

Back to the main subject, I been getting back to chess these days but i'm getting my butt handed to me online.

Hmm a few times, but I use to always play it like checkers since I don't know the rules of chess.

Super Mario Bros is the game I've played most of in my life

  I played during the Fisher/Spassky era when every kid on our block bought and
  carried around a chess board. I was never any good at the game even when I
  studied it extensively.
  
  I was alright during the opening as most of those are just memorized. But once
  I got into the mid game, I was toast.
  
  Every now and then I get the bug and will play against Fritz. But beating a
  computer that plays at that high a level is tough.
  
  I don't think Bobby Fisher had any idea just how much he did for the game of
  chess as far as making it "cool" and "popular."
  
  He may have been a whack job, but he was one hell of a chess player.

I play it. Since I was a child.It helps you to exercise your brain cells. Now I don't have the time,but sometimes I play it on my PC. It's a game that after so many centuries keep engaging people.

I've been out of practice for awhile but chess is one of my favourite games. Although I’d usually would end up playing as a defensive player and would take the time to eliminate pieces bit by bit, as opposed to trapping key players.

I do enjoy the fact that there are so many different ways you can play chess and think ahead.

I've played since I was nine years old...when my very patient big brother taught me how. I'm not great, but I enjoy the game. It's not based on the luck of cards or dice, just your skill at finding people to play that aren't as good as you.

  My dad taught me to play when i was a little boy, 30ish years ago. I taught my eldest step-daughter how to play but she never really got into it, so i haven't had a game in many years now...

I play chess too. I used to go to the local club but right now I just play online over at Chesscube. Not a strong player though, just play it for fun.
