My dog wrote this for the aspiring rappers, Terra and HeySal. Warrior Lady's Rap The drums are a thumpin' with Terra K a jumpin' to the jams we be pumpin' see her shake her rumpin' to the beat, so sweet like a doggie after meat can't take the heat? beat a fast retreat! Look, here come's HeySal looking for her K pal they love Asti so well drink until they can't tell a Warrior from a foyer so they holler for Tom Sawyer and they fall down on the ground, roll around laughing to the silly sound of their own rapping while clapping, and snapping up the fatties, smoking joking, and poking fun at us all, 'cept Paul that's all. |

I've been writing songs since I was a teenager. With that experience and the help of the Rhyme Zone, it took about two minutes to write that. I've never tried writing rap before, but I wouldn't exactly say it was fun. Sort of, because I like to write, but not really because it's just throwaway words. It's more fun to write keepers.

Hi HeySal, This comment is slightly off-topic to the thread, but I noticed your new avatar and it reminded me of my old dog Scooby Doo who sadly isn't with us anymore. Yeah, I know that there are various breeds which have similar markings, so it's not so amazing, but it reminded me of some happy memories so I thought I'd make this post. Scoob was a cross-breed that I got from a dog's home as a pup and lived to be 15 human years old. I only had to have a quick skim of my old photos to find one where he was adopting a similar cool pose - Scooby Doo (RIP) ![]() ![]() Edit - anyone know how to insert an attached image? I've attached it OK but then copied the warrior url and inserted the url via the 'image' icon. The image showed when I first posted, but now it's gone. Is it to do with a fix applied to the forum to stop cookie-stuffing or something? If not, I'd love to know. For now I'll host it and add it to the post (which is why it's showing now). |

![]() ![]() Um........you might wanna try that pic again. I don't see one in the post. I've seen several pooches that look like Ricky. None of them are the same breed as the next - mostly mutts, just as Ricky is. Rick definitely has either Rottie or Greater Swiss Mountain in him - most likely Rott because Greater Swiss are rare. What else is the mystery. But........ It doesn't matter to me. I'd like to know, of course, but most likely never will. He's one kewl little guy, though, and that's all that matters to me. I love the heck out of him. I also have no clue how old he is........he's old though. There's no two doubts about that. I wish he was younger so we would have more time together, but we've already bought him a few years he didn't have - and I can only hope for a few more. He's got a lot of personality. I'm sorry Scooby is no longer around. One of the great injustices on this earth is that dogs have such short lifespans. We know they will be leaving us when we meet them, though - and all we can do is enjoy them while they are here. Dogs are patient. They wait for us on the other side without complaint.

Heysal, Hopefully you see it now. The face seems virtually IDENTICAL! Same size, same white spots over the eyes, same black ridge over the nose, same nose, same pattern of white and black on the face. Perhaps the same tounge. Yeah, I know, VERY similar to many, but isn't it interesting how something SO complex can be so similar? Steve |

I can see it now. Scoobies face is narrower than Rickie's - other than that you are right, they could be brothers. This is a better picture of my guy - taken just a few weeks back, 2 years after the vet told my sister to put him down (cancer). This pic shows his true proportions better. You can see the rot in him. You can't see the rot in his personality, but after owning 3, I sure can. What breed mix was scoobie? |

Hi Sal, Yeh, seeing that new pic I can see that Rickie is very different - much bigger for a start. But a gorgeous dog I might add. There are quite a few breeds with these markings Steve. For example - Dobermann Scooby most resembled a - Manchester terrier in terms of size and look (see the second pic down at the previous link - but his ears were different - when he was a pup, they were up, then they were half-up (and at one stage one was up and one was down - very amusing) and eventually they were down). He was actually a cross from a Labrador mother and a Dachsund father! (Everyone laugh in unison, now! - Labs are big and Dachsunds are tiny...how on earth did they do the deed??!!) The Dachsund dad is where he got the markings. Unless I'm mistaken, the brown (not white, Steve!) markings above the eyes are there so that when the dog is asleep, some predators will see the two brown 'eyebrow' markings and think that they are eyes and that the dog is awake and staring back at them. ![]() With my dog, he also had a brown patch around his rear end and when his tail was down, it split this in two (his tail was black) which therefore made his back end have two brown patches, which perhaps look like eyes to a predator with doggy-type vision. ![]() Apologies for going off topic in the off topic and turning it into a dog pic thread! |

There's a variety of dog breeds with similar markings other than Rotties or Greater Swiss Mountain... Doberman Black and tan coonhound Gordon setter Minature pinscher ...And probably a couple I'm forgetting at the moment. |

That second pic shows that the only real similarities between Ricky and Scoobie is coloration. Ricky is built like a Rottie that didn't grow full size. He's only 60 pounds. But who cares what they are really? They are kewl people and that is why we love them so. |
