Why are there always so few women... Everywhere

Hello,

is it just me or do you also experience that any time you go somewhere (especially for entertainment) there is always many more men then women.

I mean I was at this party the other night and there were 16 guys an 4 girls. I dont have many experiences where this was any different.

It is a miracle to find self in a situation where there are actually more girls then guys, I dont remember that happening ever.

Usual ration of men and women (while attending some entertainment activity) is about 5:1 in my experience.

How about you?

A friend of mine in high school took ballet lessons for that very reason. He always had beautiful girlfriends. Later he took foreign language courses due to their high ratio of female students over male.

I wouldn't recommend going to the nail shop, yoga, or ballet. But a lot of entertainment males like is not the same that females would. At a movie theater, some may have LOTS of women, and some hardly any. So take that into account.

It's not basic personal hygiene that she was suggesting. More like overkill and narcissism to the point of fitting her shallow standards. There's more to men than aesthetics. I'm sure you agree.

This is an interesting post, olioli looks at the thread as women in general are degrading. Care to elaborate on what you mean by this?

But to address the original post, women outnumber men 2 to 1 in the world since they have not been involved in dying in wars for centuries, doing hazardous work, and men's general masculine prone to violence attitudes crafted by society.

OP, you need to be your own man, be interesting, learn about the psychology of women, or probably in your case girls. Which are quite simple creatures. Stop hanging out with strictly men in the hopes of attracting women together. I have not many male friends, but multiple female F$*# buddies. Which I prefer immensely

I hate hanging out with my male friends. There used to be time when going out with my pals felt like being punished for a crime.

Dont worry I dont hang out with my pals in hopes of attracting women. They are a fu**ing drag. I hang out with them because I havent created a better option for me yet, but I am trying my best to find new options.

I do try to get girls to go out with me quite often (its not working the way I would like it to but its gonna work fine someday and I wont stop trying obviously).

I agree there's more to men than aesthetics, but the following are basic elements for both genders:

                  Brushing teeth
                  Changing clothes
                  Showering
                  Using deodorant (unless you're French)

The last three are debatable in terms of basic elements:
                  Combing your hair
                  Shaving
                  Using aftershave

If you're not hitting the first four, you're probably not going to have luck with the ladies.

I get what you're saying, though. I just don't think Terra meant it that way. A little snarky? Sure, but she's like four feet tall, so it's to be expected.

I have never listened to desk chair online psychologists before, and I don't intend to now.

I'm sorry you are such a bad judge of character as well.

I'm neither being narcissistic or shallow, just honest. I'm sorry I rubbed you the wrong way for whatever reason.

I hope we can be friendly from this point on.

Anyway, I will be celebrating my 29th wedding anniversary in 3 days, and am quite sure I know what attracts a good woman to a man and what he needs to do to keep her.

And no, he's the farthest thing from a metro sexual as you can get. He's rugged, manly, sexy as heck and yet practices male hygiene.

Perhaps after asking yourself the following questions, and making some changes based upon your answers, your luck will change.

When was the last time I brushed my teeth?
When was the last time I changed my clothes?
When was the last time I showered or bathed?
When was the last time I applied deodorant?
When was the last time I brushed/combed my hair? (or polished my head if you're bald.)
When was the last time I shaved?
When was the last time I applied aftershave or musk?...

Well, you get my drift. :p

Well Czech Republic, Central Europe... I dont think the geographical location is the problem though. The problem is to find places where majority of women hang out.

I would like to find a logical explanation really. There is very similar number of women and men everywhere. If you there are lots of men in one place there unconditionally has to be a place full of women. Where the hell is that place :-)

Be careful, the roads are extremely treacherous for shopping carts these days without the proper headlights, tail lights, brake lights, fog lamps or turn signals.

Don't bother telling me you all have them because I'll just tell you to sell them and use the profits to lease a room. :p

According to me, the ratio of men to women is almost equal. Women might be more than men but that is slightly. Many women don't like frequenting bars and other spots of entertainment. You will find many women in schools, churches, theaters, bus stops and even on the streets but not bars.

I feel it is because it is still a mainly male dominated industry but women seem to be breaking their way through.

Have you been to the mall lately? lol I have to agree with the above. I think you may be hanging out at the wrong places. Take a class, attend a church young adult group, go to a museum, spend an afternoon at a coffee shop, and when all else fails...buy groceries.

And what Terra mentioned was basic hygiene with not an ounce of overkill. Brushing your teeth and using deodorant is narcissism? She didn't say buy designer label clothing and $600 sunglasses.

      Thank you Rose!

I appreciate you explaining although I always thought what you said was completely understood. It appears I was wrong though and some lack that understanding.

Yeah. Okay. Guys don't think we know what they say when we're out of ear shot but we do. They bitch about "why don't they just get back in the kitchen where they belong." Then they don't see us out anywhere and they cry about it.

We're not in the kitchen while you are whining about why we're not around to hang out with. We're not tellin' you guys where we go. You're just SOL if you can't find us.

    So there.

It is a miracle to find self in a situation where there are actually more girls then guys, I dont remember that happening ever.

Usual ration of men and women (while attending some entertainment activity) is about 5:1 in my experience.

    How about you?
where you go?always many more men then women??

Almost every time... Work, parties, reunion from highschool, night out with friends or even going on a travel trip.

It goes like this. Any time there is an organized group of people, men always form majority. I have vitnessed few instance of opposite case and have been part of opposite scenario in even fewer cases (almost never).

I would like to go out with a group of friends where would be like 4 men and 10 women. That would be nice change for once.

A friend in secondary school took dancing training for that very reason. He always had wonderful lovers. Later he took language programs due to their great rate of women students over male.
