Default Phelps vs Spitz

Mark Spitz said he felt that if he had Phelps' swim attire he could have set faster times in the Olympics. I think speedos are alarming no matter how long or short they are. What do you think?

Default Re: Phelps vs Spitz

They do say these new suits are result in faster swims, but that doesn't mean Phelps didn't deserve the wins.

Spitz is very competitive. He recently said if he had swam against Phelps in his prime they'd tie. If you asked Phelps he'd probably say the same thing... sort of like Ali vs Tyson, nobody knows.

I agree the suit probably improved his time... but I also this he would have beaten Spitz in any suit. Phelps is just that much better than his competition.
