Provigil: The Secret to Success? - ABC News

Not exactly new, but this is the first time I've heard of it. What do you guys think? Would you use it? If so, why? If not, why not? Do you currently take it, if so give your opinion.

Personally, I'm definitely considering it. Although it doesn't have a case study for the long-term effects, why not take the risk and make the best out of everything right now?

/Discuss.

That whole article sounded like what my dealer told me about Black Beauties, 40 years ago.

The body sometimes stops producing necessary substances when it starts receiving it from outside sources, then develops a tolerance for them, creating the need to consume greater quantities to get similar results, eventually making it necessary to take a lot just to be sober. It seems that it can be especially dangerous when it comes to brain chemicals.

This is a bit interesting. Do you have further research with this brain stimulating drug aside from the link you had posted?

Black Beauties, Pink Hearts and White Crosses... they're magically delicious!

Google it, you will find a whole lot of information on this stuff, been around long enough to be able to get it in generic form so it's not really new, but not well known for the reason posted above.

I can't imagine how people started thinking that it's okay to take a drug for anything and everything wrong - or even not wrong with their body. Go ahead and take it. A few years down the road if you are a drooling moron because you took the drug, don't be surprised at all. Pharmaceutical companies have a long record of dishonesty about the safety of ANYTHING they sell. You want to take a risk because of marketing, it's only you that's getting hurt, so go for it.

Personally I think you'd need to be a drooling moron to take it in the first place

Actually I have tried it. Friend brought some back from central america. But it's been some time. Perhaps I should give it another go

I love it especially iced with a little honey.
I don't get the 'coffee jitters' when I drink it, it's more like I can't find enough to do, or doing your day in fast forward
