Project Management Software?

Anyone using project management software?

We signed up for ProWorkFlow.com and loved it, until we had a problem and realized the company is in New Zealand, is only open for support 8 hours a day while we (NY) are closed.

I'm looking for something similar - task based system, ability to create and reuse task templates (to repeat tasks, like 5 steps on writing & posting an article), good user interface, ability for workers to see work to be done.

Some of what is lacking here:

1 - We add detailed notes under tasks. It was not saving the notes. Over an hour of work gone.

2 - There is no way to create "dependent" tasks. I don't want a worker to see that they have to upload an article if it hasn't been written yet.

I know SugarCRM supported a lot of this (I looked at it a couple of years ago) but it had a horribly ugly user interface.

Basecamp is too basic for me, I think. I want to be more detailed about steps to be done, have reporting on the progress of work.

Any suggestions?
