I avoided reading this thread because of some of the other threads down here today.

I think the worst thing is that some people start living in the virtual reality and don't have any relations in the real world and community.

  I think one of the WORST thing about SEs today are that what you get from your searches may not be the best option for you. Becasue most of the time what you will get is the most SEO optimised SERP webpages rather than the webpages that suit your need the best.
  
  Fo example, search in G for this phrase: "cheapest car insurance in NY".
  Now do you really think that *the cheapest car insurance in NY* is listing on the 1st page of big G SERP? As a matter of fact, most highly SEO optimized webpages are belong to professional internet marketers who are making a living online.
  
  IMHO this is the worst about SERP websites.

  Personally I think the web is kind of cool.
  
  Something which is concerning is MMORPG games like World Of Warcraft which have been reported to be more addictive than cocaine. One kid played the game for 24 hours straight (without taking a break or eating) and started having convulstions and then collapsed. Fortunautely he didn't suffer any long term damage.
