Funny you should mention that. As I was watching the last little clump of snow melt which took about an hour, something truly amazing happened!

After the last little drip dissipated, I looked up and the leaves on the tips of some branches had started to turn yellow, orange and red signifying fall is just a breath away.

Once when my daughter was sad and she was looking out her bedroom window, and I walked up and looked out with her, and we watched this tree shed all of its leaves in ONE moment. I dont know how easy that is to picture, but it really was an amazing sight.

Virtually ALL the leaves fell off of it at the same moment.

I told her, that the tree had shed all his leaves just for her... and that it must have been waiting for her to look.

What does that mean? I dont know, but it got her mind off her sadness....we were both amazed.

When you come home next year and want some company, count me in!

What a road trip! Although we spent one whole day on Mackinac Island, we drove and had lots of stops at the tourist attractions. The kids had a blast, but the best thing was that my baby/younger brother tuckered out sooner than I did! Haha! I still got it!!
