Totally and completely unbelievable... I mean where are the damn Doritos huh? No Swiss Roll Cakes, chips, pizza.... these kids no more have the munchies than Fred Rogers.

On a completely related note, that's got to be Bill Murray, in his public service announcement days!

From what l have read in the Youtube comments, it is him!!!

        Cool!!!

And this clip is from a anti drug propaganda film from 1951.

Either it is NOT Murray or it is NOT an anti drug propaganda film from 1951.

"William James "Bill" Murray (born September 21, 1950) is an American actor and comedian."
It does look like a vintage Second City or SNL clip though.

So, how is it that 15 of the United States - Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, New Jersey, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington - have approved and regulate medical marijuana use. The District of Columbia (DC) has also recently passed medical marijuana legislation. The federal government continues to enforce its prohibition in these states. There are also 2 states, Massachusetts and Maryland, whose drug laws are favorable towards the medicinal use of marijuana, in the latter case making it a non-incarcerable offense with a maximum penalty of a $100 fine, but which still explicitly ban it. In 2010, Arizona became the 15th state to legalize marijuana for medical purposes. In 2011, Delaware became the 16th state to legalize marijuana. If you include the state of Virginia which passed the very first state medical marijuana law , there are 19 marijuana friendly states in America. and recreational use is not legal yet.

No way would I have predicted that it wouldn't be legal for all in 2012.

People don't realize this, but Boulder Colorado has more MMJ dispensaries than all of California combined. And Denver has even more dispensaries, with more dispensaries than Starbucks.

Watch out for a vote this November when Colorado will have on the ballot to "regulate MJ like alcohol". This would make MJ legal to buy for anyone over 21 and they won't need a medical card.

At this time, I believe it's about 50/50 of it passing. It will be close.

Rob you forgot NY. Which despite the crap they pull in NYC decriminalized up to 7/8 of an ounce 20 years ago. If you get caught with up to that amount it's an appearance ticket and $100 fine.
Most of NY is also very lenient with growers. It's not often you here of someone getting busted for just growing and if they do the sentence is usually community service and probation.

There is no freaking way it will ever be decriminalized or approved for medical use here in Florida. The conservatives are way too, well, conservative here.
Tourism drives the economy, and to maintain the family friendly environment, and keep the dollars rolling, the moral majority won't let it happen.

Bottom Line is the states can make all the laws they want but federal law always supercedes state laws. The fed will have to decriminalize before any of the state laws have any validity.

    Sal,
Legal history of cannabis in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The legal history of cannabis in the United States relates to the regulation of marijuana use for medical or recreational purposes in the United States. Regulations and restrictions on the sale of Cannabis sativa as a drug began as early as 1860. Increased restrictions and labeling of cannabis as a poison began in many states from 1906 onward, and outright prohibitions began in the 1920s. By the mid-1930s Cannabis was regulated as a drug in every state, including 35 states that adopted the Uniform State Narcotic Drug Act.[1]

I was curious if there were any recent polls concerning Colorado's proposed amendment to regulate MJ as alcohol, so I did a little research.

    Here's the results:

The latest survey from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling (PPP) shows that 47 percent of likely Colorado voters support Amendment 64, which will appear on the state ballot in November. That’s a small uptick since PPP’s June survey, which showed 46 percent support, but opposition to the measure is dropping. Only 38 percent of voters oppose Amendment 64 in Wednesday’s poll, down from 42 percent in June.

Poll: Colorado pot amendment favored to pass, could steal votes from Obama | TPM2012
The article does have some political overtones, but ignore those parts.

With only 38 percent of likely voters against the amendment, and that number trending down, it's looking good for supporters of the amendment.

The amendment also legalizes the industrial use and production of hemp.

If it passes, I hereby nominate we change the name of my state to Coolarado.

You got it (at least unofficially). I would love to see each of the ranchers out there pull a block of land for hemp crops - and a nice hemp paper factory and a hemp textile mill built there, too. I'd be willing to come back to the state if they become a hemp industry leader.

      Rock on, Colorado.

How is it that MSG, GMOs, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, ECT are legal, and smoking a little grass isn't? That's just a flaw of logic.
I don't smoke it myself, but I certainly feel like there would be less assholes in the world if it was legalized.

There are a lot of morons in the U.S. who believe that we would become ill-productive as a nation if marijuana were legalized..I don't think anyone is productive with alcohol either, dumbasses! And what about tobacco? I personally think that we need to BAN tobacco. That shit kills. We need to replace it with marijuana. Weed cures some forms of cancer while tobacco causes it. Just leave us potsmokers alone for God sakes!Stop wasting taxpayers money and actually use it to stop the stuff that kills.

Not at all at a lower intellectual level - in fact much more interested, detail oriented, and less attention deficit - because there is always a feeling of well-being I can stay focused and enjoy what I am doing.

As well, in my case, because by smoking pot I can sleep longer than 2 hours at a time, I am much more stimulated than a zombie trying to navigate a day without sleep. (insomnia is far more dangerous to your mental health and immune system than pot will ever be in a million years).

I have a medical marijuana permit to smoke or grow (renewed annually - given by an MD and recognized by law in my state. (California)

... I smoked a long time way back in the day - at any and every opportunity - and drinking and drugs always made me sick - then I just stopped smoking regularly - and for several years, I smoked only on holidays and special times.

I have a documented history of not being able to tolerate (physically) any drugs given by MDs for diagnosed anxiety, depression, chronic insomnia, and intermittant/chronic pain.

So I am the perfect candidate for alternative medicine. I function perfectly and am still very organized and productive...

I guess you never saw my posts about the absolute thrill of shopping on main street for pot in a legal dispensary - cute little bags and all that.

... AND THE HIGHEST HIGH @ PARKING RIGHT NEXT TO A BIG, BLACK UNDERCOVER POLICE VEHICLE (in the dispensary parking lot) and IN BROAD DAYLIGHT PUTTING MY STASH IN MY TRUNK!

YEP IN FRONT OF GOD AND EVERYBODY! (after for so many decades in the past having every high ruined by paranoia about doing something illegal and/or that bigots could judge me for).
