Does anyone here live in Texas?

I've lived in California my entire life... a total of almost 30 years.

Twenty-seven years in Los Angeles... Three years in Long Beach(I never really liked Long Beach much though)

Anyhow... me, my wife, and two sons will be moving to Dallas, Tx in the Fall. Our motivation for moving is so the kids can spend more time with the Family.

The only problem for me and my wife is that we don't know much about Dallas.

Like... what is the nightlife like? What is there to do? How crazy is the weather? Where are the unsafe areas?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

      Thank you for the feedback. As far as the summer weather goes--I usually spend my summers in Palm Desert, Ca--where the temp. usually averages over 100 degrees.

      But, then again, it's all dry heat. It's nothing like the humid and muggy Texas heat.
