Should We All Hide Under The Bed?

Every time the economy tanks, there's an exodus of people who go back to College to be retrained, finish their degrees etc. College is expensive...ignorance costs even more.

Where can a person start a business...be their own boss...find a community of like minded individuals...and training, all for what a set of tires cost?

Low entry...choice of business models...and you can start a return on your investment within days of starting...depending upon your business model.

As for the vultur...er...I mean the media...of course they need to be worried. Newspapers going out of business... Who put the first on scene videos of most major news stories out for public consumption? People with cell cameras...bloggers...the new media. Something happens...do you wait for a commercial break...heck no! Go online.

They are right...the economy is tanking...for them and the reactionaries who stop spending because of what they hear on the news. No spending...no consumption...no consumption...no work. Rocket science. A self fulfilling prophecy.

I know a guy just finishing up four years of college and he's sweating bullets right now wondering if he'll be able to get a job that pays enough for him to live on and pay off his hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans...

I have trouble remembering all the things I'm supposed to be afraid of...

I'm a re-tooled mid-lifer and I give thanks every day that I'm riding the digital ride ... as the internet (and digital economy continue to grow) those that don't get onboard are going to be left behind.

Doom and gloom is actually a very profitable topic to make tons of money. In fact, it all started right here in the Warrior Forum. Do a search for all the doom and gloom topics, and you'll find these brilliant marketers are making a killing by scaring the bee jees out of the others and pocketing big bucks. It's a proven and effective marketing tactic we learned from the gurus to sell more niche products. For example, awhile back I started a thread called "The Bitter Truth of the Chocolate Conspiracy" just as a joke, and got the best traffic to my site ever up to that point! You should try it yourself a few times. Easy money!

I agree with you! The media just keeps making everything sound so bad...we know it is! We don't have to hear it 10 million times a day!
