Imagine taking just $2,750 + commissions and buying just 1,000 shares of Apple back then. Today, that would be $663,000. Or, if you continued to compound your returns annually by buying more stock while its cheap, you could have two or three times that amount.

I'm not picky, I'd take anytime between 1988-1992. I would tell myself not to waste time worrying about the insignificant, hug a couple of loved ones a little tighter and then just shut my mouth and open my ears.

about 10-20k BC and have a wrestle with da "cave men", would be so cool to show them some "modern day" stuff, but I bet they would show me some stuff (even as a great outdoor-army-service-man) aren't aware of...so yeah, as far as back as I could, but IF I could have a 2nd go, I'd do future by few 10k's, as big science/space geek as I am, I'd like to know what I'll be missing =)

that's a cool idea, man! But from my understanding, the world was far developed by then we see today. See some temples in india and you would still wonder how they made those temples and what type of machines they must have used to carry all those 1000 ton stones.

Probably, I'd be born in 1920, when everything was calm and smart (at least in my opinion). Music was music, gambling was gambling, boxing was boxing and so on. Back then, there were gentlemen, ladies... Not like nowadays. I like it better back in the old days.

My first thought would be to go back to when my children were toddlers. I'd be more patient and more aware of how quickly this time would pass.

But on further thought, my children turned out well so I wouldn't want to risk messing that up.
