Grant Freeman needs your assistance
Dear Warriors: I'm not exactly sure where this should be posted (as my threads/posts tend to be in the Mind Warriors & Off Topic) so I'm going to trust that I'm being "guided" to the right place (anyone who knows me will understand that
).
Situation: About a month ago, Grant received a call from his sister that his mom (who lives in the Midwest) was in the hospital...thankfully she is on the road to well-recovery now. Then, a couple of weeks ago Grant's car broke down, possibly to the point of him needing to get another car, but he hasn't been able to get it a garage because a decrease in business and increase in expenses has left him strapped (which many of us have experienced due to the economy). He is not a frivolous spender...any "extra" money he gets above that needed for expenses is used to expand his knowledge and skills, reinvesting back into his business so he can offer even more quality for his customers because their satisfaction is most important to them, or helping others. Now, this past Monday night he opened his door to find a summons stating that the complex he lives in is moving to evict him because he was late in his rent (even though he had already talked to manager the week before, explaining the circumstances and working with her to come up with payment arrangements). He has lived there for 6 years and never has been late before with his rent until this month. But, rather than consider his history and extending compassion and working to find a compromise (which had been talked about the week before), the company reconsidered the arrangement and have filed a case to evict him. Grant is now "forced" to come up with $1600 by next Monday, March 23. He and I have brainstormed several solutions...one of which is asking the members here for help...however, Grant won't personally ask for himself (see "The rest of the story" below). This is why I am sharing all this with you (with Grant's permission that if I wanted to, I could) and requesting that if you can financially assist Grant in any way, please do. And, if you could pass it on to anyone who you know that may also be able to help, it is sincerely appreciated. I had originally considered taking Grant's situation to someone with a more prolific status on the forum to see if they would assist me in making the request because I knew they could draw more attention, and possibly more outpouring of assistance than "lil 'ol me", but then I received what I'll describe as a Divine "message" (which if you don't know by now, I listen to and trust) that this request needed to come from me because I could share what others may not be aware of about Grant. So, with humility and utmost respect for all members of this forum...I stand before you.
Grant's profile statistics and his contributions to the forum only give a glimpse of a man who I am blessed with being a part of my life for the past year and a half now. In fact, Grant was the catalyst in me finally delving into IM and he has always been supportive, providing his knowledge and skills to further my growth in IM. I became a member of this forum, at his encouragement, because he told me that the forum contain a wealth of information and includes amongst its members some of the top IMers around who are very knowledgeable and supportive as well and that I can learn A LOT from them (which I have...thank you).
There is one quality (amongst many) about Grant that some of you may notice in his contributions to the forum, the products he creates, and the services he offers. He has a genuine interest in sharing his knowledge and skills with others to assist them in furthering their own growth and manifesting their heart's desire....and, he continually expands his own knowledge and skills not only for his self-growth, but that it allows him even more to share and assist others with...and without expecting anything in return. To quote one of his favorite sayings "It's not about the money, it's about sending a message." He would give the shirt off his back or "extra" money he had if he knew if would truly help someone else, which I know he has done without asking anything in return. To him, "wealth" is found in sharing and giving the things he has been blessed with to help others. That's one of the reasons he wouldn't post this thread himself because he is more about giving than getting.

Grant: I posted this thread, knowing that I have your permission to follow what "guidance" I have been given...but I didn't tell you about posting it because it is a gift of love and friendship that's meant to open itself up for you through the showering of compassion and generosity from forum members who I have faith will step up to help.
I know, that you know, I love you...you're not only my best friend, but partner in creation (yep, I revised it), and much much more....and, that I'll do what I can to help...which includes posting this.
