Does Your Car Have a Name?

Other than it's "Brand" name given by the factory, ie: Ford Victoria, Honda Prius, Toyota Camry...do you assign these items names like pets?

Does it have a "nickname"? One that you gave it based on it's 'personality'?

It doesn't have to be a car, it can be any vehicle...Motorcycles, Bicycles, etc.

For instance, some vehicles just 'reveal' themselves...like the FIAT sports car I used to have named 'Tony', as in "Fix It Again Tony" :p

Something practical to yell at it, when it won't start in the morning and needs a "pep-talk"...

Just curious...

Well, 'Jeep' was a nickname originally...for "GP" - (General Purpose) vehicle

I've never named a car, although I did have an old '42 Ford coupe once that people may have thought had a name. I used to say "Come on, start!" to it enough that it could have easily been taken for for its name.

Was it a nice one like that yellow 48 Ford Super DeLuxe ragtop Mr. Miyagi had in the Karate Kid movie? That was sweet!

Not even close. It was one I was fixing up. The body was primed and almost ready for a nice paint job. The interior was barely started. It made me say "Come on, start" one too many times and I traded it for more reliable transportation. I was going into the Navy and needed something I could count on, and back then I couldn't afford two cars. Wish I had it back now though.
