I am trying to get out of telemarketing but seems like there the only place that hires So I found a good place that pays between $10 to $16 a hour and got a call yesterday for a interview, and today went in and had to fill out app and do a test on there computer about telemarketing and i got a 79 and i needed a 85 to qualify for job REALLY???? Um i thought a interview was FACE to FACE Wasted my morning.

Tomorrow i have another interview at another telemarketing place and the pay is only $8 plus commision So i will see how that place goes BUT i do start a job next thursday at a telemarketing place that pays $9 to $10 a hour or commision whatever is greater How do i get out of these jobs? My dream is to be a internet marketer and to have min sites to make me money but i need a job first to be able to make sites and work on them:confused:

If you are really good at telemarketing why don't you get into the offline space?

You could sell mobile websites or reputation management or whatever you like.

If you don't want to learn how to build mobile sites per say, team up with someone who's great at building them but sucks at selling them.

Let's say you sell 4 per day at $297 each that's $594 a day for each of you and you then have monthly fees for hosting and maintenance of say $39 per month per customer.

    This is totally doable.

Take your aggravation and channel it into positive.

Paging John Durham. Paging John Durham.

John's the guy you want to talk to. He's a Warrior. Zip him a pm.

Edit: Eh, you might not be able to send pm's yet. I sent John a pm asking him to drop by this thread.

Dan's right - John is your go to guy. If he can't get you up to speed to get something going from telemarketing skills, nobody can.

      Jeff,

Yeah, definitely check out the offline forum...

      Offline Marketing Discussions

TONS of ideas in there where you can use your telemarketing skills to make money for yourself, and not be limited to a $10 or $15/hr ceiling of working for someone else.

And as others have already mentioned... pay attention to everything that John Durham says.

And if you have $37 to spend, get a War Room membership, then search that specific part of the forum for threads that have the word 'offline' in the title. As of right now, there are 43 of those threads (that = 43 different ideas/methods about how to make money offline).

Just so you know, telemarketing is a great skill to have, it means you would be a confident salesman and I think that will help if you are ever selling a product that you made.

Personally I can't take those kind of jobs, any sort of sales commission job. Alot of the job advertisements for those sound really scammy as well. I prefer to work a normal 40 hour a week job where you know exactly how much you'll get and what you have to do, but I know it can be tough to find one of those especially these days.

If I was you I would maybe look into finding a part time job (If you are in a position too) and then work as hard as you can at building something online.

If your dream is to be an internet marketer then follow that dream!

Two easy ways to start would be 1. Sign up for clickbank and start advertising people's offers or

    2. (I think this method is best for you) Create your own product and sell it through a website, and if you have enough, sign up to clickbank ($50 I think) or even just look for people here who would be interested in marketing your product.

You might think you arn't able to create an info product but I think you are! With all your telemarketing experience I think you could write a great info product about making sales, or succeeding in a telemarketing job, something like that. If you can put a book together (even 30-40 pages), you can convert it into a PDF for free and there you have it, your own info product, which you can sell on a website.

If you are in need of money you can always use Fiverr as a small income stream. if you can write 500 word articles for $5 I think you would pick up some sales. It's not good for quick money though as there is a 14 day waiting period from when the gig ends to when you get paid, so it's something to look at as a long term income stream.
