I see you use Skype... they let you buy U.S. numbers for 5 Euros per month
(3 month subscription, cheaper if you buy for a year). The numbers are treated
like normal local numbers. You can answer calls on your computer or forward them (at your own cost) to a land line or cell phone if needed... Skype comes with a voice box too.

I have not tried my number to verify craigslist, but it worked for a bunch of other services that require a U.S. phone number.

If you plan to create accounts in many different locations this strategy might be too expensive. But there are a lot of services that offer local numbers for way less that
can be forwarded to your Skype number.

Craigslist would not verify with my Skype number. I can only speak for me though.

What about signing up for a google number?

I can't say that I have done this, and maybe it won't work... But my cousin's boyfriend's aunt's daughter tried it! Just kidding, my friend has a Washington state cell number and then signed up for a google one that links to it, and she chose to tell google she lived in Las Vegas, which is what it says on my caller ID each time she calls now. So maybe that will work? Just a suggestion

to do it yourself from the UK you'll have to use (US based) proxies to access you account/PVA to post, and use a real US based phone number that can forward to a skype/voip number that you can answer on the UK side.

probably cheaper and faster/easier to hire someone to post for you.

Hi is good.

Then we move to r u, I think that's supposed to be Roo from Winnie the Pooh, you know, Kanga and little Roo, but he misspelled it.

Okay, next we have need which needs an (s), then craigslist followed by w4m which I think translates to Warrior Forum, then lead. Next is add me Skype, followed by alifbd1.

So apparently his name is Skype and he knows Roo hangs out with a dude named Craig here on the Warrior Forum who has some sort of a list and is willing to lead you to them. If you find them, he wants to have his name added to Craig's list. He then proceeds to write in some sort of secret code, so I'd avoid him at all costs.

You could use a service like Twilio or Plivo to get a US based number that connects to your UK phone. Pretty easy to do, but you'll invest more than one hour and maybe $5 USD for their services.

I was under the impression that Craigslist has UK sites? Can't you sign up on the CL UK site and use your own phone number? Or is it that you're trying to post in the US CL and it's asking for phone verification? If the second option is the case, then try posting ads in smaller cities, because usually only the bigger cities require phone verification.

Your other option is to hire someone in the US (or from India lol) to post all of your ads for you. I know people who do this.
