Wow, one of the teammates on my pool team disappeared 3 weeks ago.

The cops just got around to asking me questions now.

It took a mini media blitz for them to get off there asses to do some thing.

Family and friends have been hounding the police to investigate
since week one.

Its unbelievable. There are young woman disappearing in Daytona
and getting stuffed in trash cans for last 10 years, its all very hush hush

and despite this... it took 3 frigging weeks to start investigating.

This line" Police are not calling the case one of foul play, but they are concerned because of the amount of time that has passed."

    I don't understand

I recently have seen it used a lot, I recently lost a friend and they said something similar but it looks to as Foul play was involved.

She has been missing for 3 weeks and hasn't used her phone since... But there is no Foul play?

I hope they find her and she is Ok.

    This is ridiculous.
No one goes 3 weeks without using their cell nowadays if they are ok.
Almost every female I know in that age group, and I have 4 daughters in age between 24 and 28, have their phones glued to their ear almost every waking moment.

The article indicates she was reported missing "last Friday" by her Mother.

      and

Coworkers said they didn't report her missing right away
Police can't investigate unless someone is reported missing - and with an adult it may start slow because adults have the right to come and go as they please.

I don't see a police problem here. Why would they investigate a missing person before someone was reported "missing"?

It's a risk for someone who keeps an irregular schedule and doesn't inform others where or when to expect her. Sometimes it's a while before people notice you are missing.

She was reported missing 3 days after no contact with her mother.

the POLICE, and reporters are not issue complete truths...

        which is really BS.

I don't care what they are saying on the TV, i know the truth.
I know the family. I know when her mom started calling the police.

And i say started. because she made several phone calls.
and after a week she went to the station and filed another report.

I noticed the discrepancies too Kay, but I also know Ken and I believe what he is telling us. I know some (not all) police lie and I never believe the media completely anymore.

Thanks for clarifying. Sounds like facts were rearranged for the media - like that would happen, right?

Hope she's ok - but no calls in 3 weeks doesn't sound good.
