iPhone 5?? Or Galaxy??

Okay then I'll make it a little more relevant to this forum, since I currently use my iPhone 4 for a lot of the work on my blog/eCommerce ventures when not at home which do you think would be better suited for working on said blog/eCommerce site and using the internet(online) for stat checking and analytics etc..

P.s. I am currently at my miserable 9-5 job on my iPhone 4.

The drop test isn't valid. The 2nd drop on the galaxy was worse than any the iphone had. AND, once it had THAT, the 3rd drop was just for show.

As for the siri thing, it was inconclusive. It seemed like most google stuff was faster and some was better. If not for the fact that maybe 30% of the siri stuff was much better, or google failed, I would say siri lost. As it was, it was maybe closer to a tie.

this has also happened with the iphone 4s. i updated to ios 6 about a month ago and was going over my data limit of 2gb every 3 days regardless how much or how little i used my phone. prior to the update i went over only once in the past year, and i was slightly over at that. this past month i went over by nearly 4x, was receiving warning text messages almost every 3rd day (which always arrive conveniently at around 5:30am). visited the apple store a few days ago here in chicago, of course the "genius" had no idea how this could be as she had never heard of such a thing. i asked if i could go back to the previous os, which of course i couldn't do, so we deleted everything on the phone and did a clean install of ios 6. hopefully the problem is solved, i'll check the data usage in another day or so to find out.

in short, the excessive data usage problem (and it's a lot of data use, approx 3-4x as much or more per month) is not limited to the iphone 5 w ios 6, it can also happen to the iphone 4s after updating to ios 6.

turned off documents & data (settings > icloud > documents & data) and the device is no longer using excessive amounts of cellular data. when that's on it allows the phone to backup via the cellular connection. turning it off allows it to only backup when accessing the web via wifi. apparently the update causes the phone to continually back up, whether connected to wifi or cellular, which can be an obvious problem should you have a plan with limited monthly cellular data as most of us do.

WOW, that is BAD! They should have a bit in each app, or date, to ndicate when things were changed, and save only THAT. There is generally NO reason to save log info.

With a setting like that, I would demand that the carrier reverse charges.

i suggested it, didn't feel it was fair to pay those extra charges, and if at&t would have made this 10 yr+ customer of their service cover it i would have strongly considered cancelling my account. let them take it up w apple, that's the quickest way to stop this from happening to others. short of buying another phone there's really nothing we can do about it w apple (and even if we do buy another phone apple still has our $$$), but a large carrier can put pressure on them to stop doing this type of bs. at&t did me right, they credited back approx $100, $50 for each of the two months worth of excess charges...def appreciate them doing that.

Are you asking which phone or operating system? Because ultimately it boils down to the OS running on the phone. Thats whats going to be doing the brunt of the work apps, email, browsing and such. I would decide on the OS I wanted to run first does it have the apps I'm going to be running alot, If I like to play games I need a OS with good game developers and plenty of them to play. If I'm business oriented does it have apps that are strong on word processing, spreadsheets, etc. Maybe I'm going to deep in what kind of phone you should have so i'll stop now. Hope this helps

I have both. Just got the iPhone 5 for my "work" phone and have the s3 for my "personal" phone. I prefer the s3. Cant give you any real reason I guess I just like android layout better.

Choosing a phone would definitely depend on your needs and preferences. Each phone has its own specifications and features. I'd go for the Iphone5 though, been using Apple products for quite a while and been quite satisfied with the performance!

Neither. Wait for the galaxy note 2 to drop this month. 5.5 inch screen with a stylus pen! I think that's what the pen is called. I believe it'll have a quad processor and 2mb of ram. correct me if I'm wrong. But its a monster phone.

I have the original Galaxy note, I love it, It's hard to see where they can improve on it with the note 2, I haven't had an Iphone ever so I cannot compare.

I have iPhone and will always get one on a replacement. Mostly because I also have an iPad and MacBook Pro, so they all sync up nice.

My only issue with new iPhone 5 is that they changed the adapter, so I will keep my iPhone 4 as long as possible.

iTunes for the PC/Mac blows though. It was a pain before, now its just sh*t

had an iphone, now GS2, getting the galaxy note2 this month. It is an incredible device that blows anything away. The smart stylus/handwriting is unreal. A super productive intuitive device. It even has dual window multitasking. Def a game changer.

You should definitely go with Galaxy S III but if you're looking for other options, why don't try Sony Xperia P. this is amazing phone im using currently and really happy with this also the price is low compared to iphone or S III.

I'm curious...did you pick a phone?

iPhone's IMO are losing its flavor.

Have they made it so you can open excel documents yet as you can on Androids? I think this alone is key.

I had an iPhone when I was with Verizon and went to ATT (have since broke my contract with ATT to go with Solavei) and thought I would miss my iPhone but I have not. I like the look and feel of an Android phone. I will be upgrading my phone soon as I still have my ATT phone but won't be going to iPhone that is one thing I'm sure about.

Galaxy is always better in terms of price and free apps available. But quality of apps are better in iWorld!

In fact there are quite a number of apps that are still not available in Android. For instance software like Garageband, imovie, are great tools and you get that SO CHEAP!

That being said., if you don't need those high end apps. Get a galaxy, android. They are cool and better bang for your buck!
